A Day in My Life...

I just wrote a comment on my friend's Blog (Emilie...she's commented on Henry's blog before) and I thought I would paste that comment here. Matt and Emilie just had their little girl a few weeks ago. The baby was a few weeks early, so they've been going back and forth to NICU waiting for their baby to get strong enough to come home. So, please pray for them when you get the chance.
Here's my comment. Of course, when I'm talking about a future 6-month Ella, I'm really relating what Colden does right now. So, this is a little snapshot of the joy that Colden is right now. Just replace the "shes" with "he."

" just wrote a long comment and when I went to publish it, I wasn't logged onto the Internet and LOST ALL OF IT!!!! BLAST!Anyway, thanks for sharing your life! My heart goes out for you and I keep praying that Ella will be strong enough to come home soon.
"In my comment, I wrote a few things that brought tears to my eyes...so hopefully, I'll be able to reproduce them.
"I know that these first few weeks are hard. But before you know it, Ella will be 6 months old. She'll recognize her Mommy and Daddy. She'll smile at you when you walk into the room. She'll sit on her own. She'll chew on anything that she can get her hands on. She'll be eating SOLIDS in ADDITION to her milk. She'll squirm for independence one moment then lean on you for a "hug" the next moment. She'll lift up her arms when she wants you to pick her up. She'll be getting so heavy that you actually WON'T want to pick her up. She'll shy away from strangers (even Grandma and your best friends who live next door) but she'll cling to Mommy and Daddy. She'll "talk" with you. She'll pound on anything that makes noise...like keyboards and pianos. She'll want to take you all around the house...while you hold her up so she can walk. She'll compete with her daddy in burping contests. And she'll bring so much love and joy into your home that you can't even begin to imagine what life was like before she was born.I love being a mom. And I can tell that you already do, too."

Thank you so much for thinking of us and asking your family to pray for us. We have really felt the love of family and friends during this time and at point that is all that held me together.

It is so good to hear encouragment about all of the wonderful experiences we will get to have with Ella when she gets to come home just like the ones you have with "little C" (that's his rapper name). Thanks for the friendship.
