Today

I would have Blogged yesterday, but Colden awoke from his nap sooner than expected. So, you get to hear about today instead. Which has been a more eventful day. Lucky readers.
The day started out good. Colden slept in past 7am, so Rob and I got to sleep in a little, too. Colden awoke happy and rested. Until I changed his first poopy diaper of the day. After that, he was INCONSOLABLE. I couldn't figure out why so I gave him pain reliever. Then he pooped again. I fed him (lots of fruit...cause his stools were on the hard side) and changed him and put him down for an early nap because he kept throwing tantrums. He awoke from his nap with another poopy diaper (this kid usually only poops once or twice a day). I waited a little while before changing it...hoping that if he had any more stinky stuff that he would dispose of it before the diaper change. Well, this happened a total of 5 or 6 times today. I lost count. Colden was the Patterson Poop Smith for the day. And I finally figured out why he was so fussy this morning. The poor kid was backed up! Well, since Rob has been home, Colden's diaper has been as clean as a whistle. And he's been happier, too.
Oh, and this afternoon, Ruth came by and we played a game of Settlers with the expansion Cities and Knights. It's currently our favorite game. We've played it with Ruth about 3 times this week, plus 2 times over the weekend. It's so nice that Ruth's been coming over a lot. We really enjoy it!
Oh, and let me know if the pictures loaded. I can't tell right now if they did.

awwwwwwwww, Settlers. Cities and Knights is the best. Too bad I can't play with you guys. I always want to play, but no one wants to play with me because it takes so long. :( By the way, this fantastic game was the invention of a ...German, of course. We are so brilliant.

Germans ARE brilliant game makers. Must be all of the free time they have. 3 months vacation every year. Only working like 5-6 hours a day...with a 2-3 hour lunch break. Of course Germans have time for long games like Settlers. ;)
