About 10 days ago, our family went on a quick trip to Lexington, KY...Thoroughbred Capital of the World. Rob's last ortho interview was there and the night before he left, he invited the whole family to go. He felt bad for leaving so much and thought that this would be a good time to spend together.
We booked a hotel on Priceline.com...and it luckily had an indoor pool. Colden and Dylan really enjoyed themselves in the pool. Once Dylan overcame his fear of the pool, he couldn't stop smiling and kicking.
While Rob was interviewing, I just HAD to take the boys to a horse farm. We went to a farm that's considered a retirement center for former racing stallions. When their seed is no longer desirable, stallions usually don't have a place to go, so this farm takes them. Colden just loved looking at the horses. Our guide was a retired man who has loved going to the races since he was a young-un. One of the horses acted in a few scenes as Seabisquit. One of the horses didn't have an eye. They don't know how it happened. One of the horses doesn't have teeth anymore. We were lucky to be there when we were. It was one of the last days of 70 degrees we'll probably have this year. Lexington was really a pretty place. If you ever get the chance to go there, go! You'll enjoy it.

Did you say Young-un??? Too funny!
Sounds like a fun time and so nice that you all got some time together after so many out of town interviews!
