4th of July

I know, I'm a little late...but I did want to share that we actually had a fun 4th of July. We honestly haven't celebrated the 4th since our first one together, 4 years ago. One year we painted our kitchen, the next year we drove from UT to CA, and the next year we were once again traveling...me and the kids from CA to UT and Rob went from CA to VA.
By 8am, we were at the church for a flag-raising ceremony and breakfast. We bonded with a few more people in the ward...nice.
Then we came home for Dylan's nap. Rob read homework and Colden played. Then Rob cut Colden's hair, I cut Rob's hair, then I went a little too far in buzzing Dylan's hair (but I like it cause it makes his cute face stand out more).
For dinner, I made a traditional BBQ dinner without the BBQ...hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked onion-flavored potatoes.
That night, we went to the Botanical Gardens to attend a free folk concert (something they apparently have every Wed night). We could have stayed downtown to watch the fireworks, but we opted to go home and do a few fireworks at home so we could put the kids to bed somewhat early (9pm).
I took a video of the kids dancing to the pre-show music at the Gardens. I'm trying to figure out YouTube...so I'll post the link later.

Looks like your getting the hang of the city and the places to go! Glad you got to celebrate it this year!

Cool fireworks pics!

And the dinner picture is the bestest ever. I've noticed that Dylan loves to eat with a big mit on his hand, it looks like Rob only likes to eat the condiments and Colden is just sitting in bewilderment at it all. ;-)
