My Roots

ScrapFaith Challenge


I took the challenge and scrapped my religious roots (yeah...I painted the tree with acrylic paint...Colden helped me discover how to do the leaves and the grass by pressing the brush all the way down). Journaling says:

My religious roots go deep, very deep. These 32 people were the first people in each of my pedigree lines to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their seeds of faith have sprouted into thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of trees. I'm also awed b the 3-6 generations of ancestors who went before me who remained faithful by digging in & nourishing their roots. If I didn't have the Gospel, I would be spiritually lost. Thanks to these people, I, too, can dig in my roots & be spiritually strong.
