Rob's 30...

So, what does he have to show for it?

The other night while we were on his b-day date, he asked me that question. In his mind, he's thinking that he's still in school, he hasn't been able to financially provide for his family while he's pursuing his education (except apply for the loan money), he hasn't biked across the USA (one of his dreams), he doesn't even own a road bike, he hasn't used his passport as much as he would like, he hasn't run in a race for years, and he hasn't done many other things that he would like to do.

So, he's 30 now, what does he have to show for it?

I quickly reminded him that he has two great sons and a wonderful wife, he may not be done with school but his schooling will lead him into the occupation of his dreams, he's already a second-time home owner, and he knows where he's headed in life and he's close to reaching his dreams. He may not have a lot of stuff or travels to brag about right now, but I think this picture shows how content he is with his life right now.

I just can't believe you want to bike the US...that's gotta be painful in more ways than one!

Hey Rob, Drew here. Happy birthday! I just have to say, I sympathize with you. I feel the same way, and I'm almost 30, too. Something about turning 30, I guess.

Rob, I'm always up for biking across the U.S. As soon as I am done with school and have a 1 month break.

P.S. Is that Henry in the picture?
