This morning, Rob informed me that President Gordon B. Hinckley, prophet and president of the church I attend, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away last night. Just sitting down to write about this, I'm realizing that he had a bigger influence on my life than I had thought. When he spoke, you could feel that he was a good man. You could feel the love he has for all mankind--a love like Christ's...a love that encompasses everyone yet touches you individually. He bore a powerful witness of Jesus Christ and the restoration of Christ's Church in these latter days. President Hinckley was truly a prophet of God. He will be missed.

Great thoughts. I love his testimony on that video. He was such a powerful yet humble man and it will be hard not to see him at the next General Conference.
