National Patterson's Christmas Vacation: Utopia in Utah

Our Holiday vacation was awesome...at least there weren't any crazy misfortunes that followed us around as we skipped around the country during the Holidays.
We went to Utah to visit my family for Christmas. We were there for 9 days. Since we've never had an official Davis family reunion, I kinda asked my mom if we could treat our Christmas vacation like a reunion...fill it with fun activities. She stepped up to the task and finished most of her Christmas tradition to-do's before we arrived so we all could enjoy being together. Thanks, Mom!!
* We played for an afternoon at Jungle Jim's Playland...like a Chuck E Cheese
* Afterwards we saw the light show of a house in Murray, really incredible
* Went to the Stout Christmas Party (my extended family on my Mom's side)
* Went snow tubing twice (it snowed almost every day we were there)
* My sister, Missy, did a photo shoot for us (which is why our Christmas cards aren't out yet...I just had to let her take our pictures cause she's awesome!)
* Rob went running almost every day...despite snow and ice on the roads and literal freezing conditions
* Girl's Night Out watching Enchanted (almost too much on the cheesy side for me) while the boys stayed home with the kids and watched the BYU bowl game
* Played games and games and more games
* Visited with Aherns...friends from college
* Played with our newest nephew, Justus
* Talked with my missionary sister who is in Italy (my dad had a kick speaking in Italian to her...he served his mission in Italy 30 years ago and just recently started to brush up his Italian)
* Enjoyed a nice Christmas Eve with a candle-light dinner by Mom and the Nativity story played out by the kids...and my dad
* Celebrated Christmas morning with family and not a whole lot of gifts since we left everything in St. Louis (we did our gift opening at home the day before we left)
