When I was 7-8 months pregnant with Dylan, a friend of mine gave me a recipe for
Scallini's Eggplant Parmigiana as a way to naturally induce labor within 2 days of eating it. I made it for dinner 14 days before Dylan's due date, and I went into labor on my own within 72 hours. Since I made it from scratch, I used dried herbs instead of fresh. Anyway, I decided to do that again with this pregnancy. But I decided that I didn't want to make it because it's quite time consuming. So, Rob and I went to Macaroni Grill (one week before the due date) and I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana there. It was delish...but the results were better. Within 4 hours (by 11:15 pm), my water broke and I was in labor.
I will gladly say that the labor lasted only 5 hours. No hassles, no complications. I did get an epidural at about 3am...and after that, I went from a 5 to a 10 in less than an hour. Then I had to wait for the doctor to get there so I could push. Maybe I could have done it on my own...who knows. I do think that the epidural helped me relax...maybe it did the same for my cervix.
With that preamble, I'll give you what you really want...
