You guys are Awesome!

Wow! I didn't realize so many people read my blog! I guess my content is usally too boring to coment about. :)

It's so great to see how so many people care. And reading how hard nursing was for some of you, too. And, like Tara said, nursing may be what nature intended, but it's not natural. It's hard work! A few months ago, I told Rob that this is the hardest thing I have probably ever done in my life. And I guess that's why I felt so down yesterday. The harder you work for something...that doesn't end up working out...the more pain you feel when the letdown (not the nursing kind) happens.

My SIL lent me a sweet electric pump, so I really should try that before I throw in the towel. I already tried the herbal tea thing with Colden. I'm not consistent enough to have that work for me.

Anyway, enough about that.

Yesterday, my mom told me something that had me laughing so hard! I've gotta share it.

Only at BYU---The Elimi-date Game

My younger sister, Mandy, is going to Brigham Young University and single. She's been going on dates off and on lately, but nothing has really turned into anything. Recently, she was lamenting that one of her previous relationships didn't progress. But, at least she has bold, intuitive, creative roommates.

Two of her roommates told her that they would set her up on a date. Well, they did a little more than that. They created a "dating application" and went to the Wilkinson Center, aka student commons building. 25 guys filled out the application! They then narrowed it down to 7 guys and invited them over to their apartment last Saturday night for the "date." The roommates then became the game show hosts for Mandy's personal "Elimi-date" game show. Yes, a curtain was drawn in the living room. The boys were on one side and my sister on the other. They had to answer questions and she had to eliminate them based on their answers! She didn't want to eliminate anyone! (From what she could tell, they were all great guys...and they were willing to go out on a limb like this just for a date!!--Like I said, only at BYU where everyone is marriage crazy.)

Since she didn't eliminate anyone, the roommates decided to have a dance-off. She got to dance with each of the 7 guys. One swept her off her feet as he led her in fun swing moves. She ended up deciding to have that guy take her out because she knew that it would be a fun date.

I say...if it doesn't work out with that guy, call the other ones and ask them out, too! That should keep her busy until the end of the semester! I hope that her roommates get to go out with some of the guys, too.

MOm told me about that yesterday! I think her roommates are awesome! And she said Mandy was on a high after that knowing that all those guys wanted her!
