Gotta survive somehow!

Evelynn's birthday cake...yes, it's a butterfly. And yes, I ran out of blue food coloring so I couldn't make it purple, and I didn't want it pink, so I went with orange. I didn't get really good pictures of her on her birthday...but we got a cute video...someday, I might post it!

Here's my big girl! Evelynn hiking up the stairs at Cahokia Mounds. She went up half of them...there were probably 100! Rob was also very patient.

We've been here over 2 years...and this was our first time at the Sea Lion show at the Zoo. We just loved it.

Colden brought his quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies so he could pet the sting rays (we told him last time that we couldn't because it costs money that we don't have--he still didn't have enough, but we were touched with his inciative!). They were really soft and fun to pet.

Yes, that's the T. Rex named Sue in the background--the most complete T. Rex skeleton found to date. She's only missing one arm, one foot and leg bone, a few ribs, and something else (hip?). The skeleton on display is plaster, so that the original fossil can be preserved at the museum (so it looks complete). A museum in Chicago bought the original fossil at an auction for $4.8 million. Amazing! Can you tell that Colden is in heaven? Dylan is along for the ride (look how big he's getting!!).
Gotta love the Science Center on a hot, summer day.

Man! It makes me wish we would've gone to the Sea Lion show instead of the Kid Zoo, oh well.
Happy Birthday Evelynn! She is such a cute, and smart girl. I really enjoy having Claire play with her at church.
I had no idea the zoo had shows like that. I guess we'll have to check it out.
Sorry about the stress of all that is ahead of you. I know that you guys will be very successful.
