We're working on a logo design concept for Patterson Orthodontics. Our favorite idea is layering Patterson in a script font over ORTHODONTICS in a block font...very similar to the vinyl lettering stuff many of us have in our homes.
Now I need some comments, suggestions, advice.
Mainly, it will be used on printed signs, business cards, letterhead, new patient folders, invoices, etc. So, I'm assuming that as long as it's in a JPEG format, it should work with any of that stuff.
Now the questions...
Is that a good idea for a logo?
I've been looking around town at logos while I drive around, and I've never seen that kind of logo. So, does it work? Would it work? Is it too trendy or too much of a fad (definitely don't want a logo to be outdated in 2 years)? Is it professional enough? Is it cutting edge and modern?
Please let me know your thoughts about something like that.

I like that look, and can you make the "Patterson" in a crescent-moon shape to represent a smile?
From what you sent me, I really like it. It looks modern but also classic so I don't think it will go out-of-style...the colors might though.
And, yes, I'll design it for you! We could even Skype or something if we need to clarify things...that might come in handy. :)
I like the sound of it, but you might also want something a little simpler to put next to it -- like just the initials in a simple graphic incorporating the same font. What you're describing sounds like good letterhead, but it might be handy to have something simpler for other uses. Good luck!! It's amazing how many little things there are to building a business.
I'd have to see an example to really make a comment.
