Keys. Car keys. My car keys. Right now, just my van key.
It's gone.
Again.
At least I know where it is this time.
It's at the shop where the van DVD player is getting fixed.
We brought the van home...
but left the key there because the shop was closed
an hour before closing time.
Rob tried to get the key
during regular business hours
but no one was there.
We'll try again tomorrow.
Last week
I couldn't find my keys in my house.
I searched.
Everywhere.
I slammed doors (I was mad at myself).
I cried (okay, bawled).
I prayed.
I remembered that I put them in my church bag.
Yay!
I dropped my kids off at someone's house
so I could get some desperately-needed work done.
I desperately needed some exercise
so I went to the closest park
3 miles away.
I took a key off my key chain
locked the other keys in the van
and went on my walk.
As I approached the van,
I realized I had the wrong key.
That extra 3 miles was a long walk.
I locked my keys in the car.
when we went to Purina Farms.
Luckily, I had several friends there
who helped me get the car unlocked.
I lost my keys at the YMCA.
We searched everywhere
for an hour.
I keep hoping that
whoever found them
will turn them into
Lost and Found.
I ask almost every time I go there.
They're still lost.
Most of the time
I can keep it together.
I can be busy
and working hard on
marketing
moving
mothering
but when I can't find my keys
I lose it.
And it's just keys!
AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Is there something small, silly, and almost insignificant that puts you over the edge when you're stressed out? Please share!! I don't want to feel alone!! Or else I may think I'm losing my mind!!

It probably won't make you feel any better, but once I locked my keys in my car 3 times on the same day. What was most embarrassing was that they kept sending out the same guy to unlock it each time! Hang in there...and make more copies of your keys!
That totally bites! I'm sorry.
What gets me is if I can't seem to get a shower. and i'm very OCD about my schedule! throw me off and i loose it!
btw- shawn has an interview tomorrow at byu. pray for him!
Wow! I think you need bright colored keys or something that totaly sucks. I think my big thing is cleaning because I do it really well when I'm upset or frusterated or when I finally decide something needs to be cleaned it gets dirty by one of the kids soon after it's done. I guess that's the way it's supposed to go though!
I need to send you this key chain that I make. It stays around your wrist and when you need your keys they are right there. I'm sorry about your key thing. I did that one day on my way to institute, thank goodness my neighbor was home. I called my friend that had the other set of keys but she was at work so I had to have my neighbor drive me to her work to get her key then go to her house and grab my key. Anyways not fun. One thing I do from now on is I always have to see my keys in my purse or feel them in my hand, I ALWAYS double check now!! Hang in there you do have a lot on your plate right now!!
