1. Are there any cottage industry things I can do that require very little set up cost but high return? Any ideas out there? I know, I'm dreaming. I've been experimenting with making artisan bread (we've had asiago cheese bread and sun-dried tomato and basil bread just this week!). But I can't see charging more than $4 a loaf, and I would have to sell a bunch of those to make it worth it (thinking of the high return $$ side).
PS--Rob decided to buy peach pies instead of making them. I also couldn't figure out the logistics of even temporarily storing 35 pies in my home...I don't have that much counter space!
2. I've been coming up with a family "theme" or motto or something like that (I just read The Parenting Breakthrough...loved it!). I would really like to make something beautiful out of it and hang it on a wall. But my mind is so not in a crafty creative mode right now...any ideas? Can you send me links of beautiful things you just love? We're renting, so I don't want to stick vinyl directly on the wall.
The theme/motto I would like to work with and creatively display in our home:
Pattersons: We are a Happy Family (I might go with a vinyl board for this one)
Pattersons are happy because we:
Love God and know He loves us back
Feel the Spirit in our Home
Put our Family First
Love to Learn
Serve Others
Follow the Prophet
Take Care of our Bodies
Enjoy Nature
Work Hard and Play Hard
Enjoy Discovering and Developing Talents
Take Care of our Home and our Earth

What if you did an acrostic poem in vinyl using Patterson? They sell wooden plaques at craft stores and you could paint one and either hang it on the wall or put it on an easel?
Those are some good ideas. I didn't realize I could just get a wooden plaque at a craft store...
