The addage is an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well, what if you can't eat an apple? What if every time you bite into a Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Fuji, or Braeburn your mouth and throat start to itch like crazy? Even a drink of water won't calm the itch down.
I mean, who has ever heard of anyone being allergic to apples? It's one of the most sane fruits out there. Applesauce is fine. Dried apples are fine. However, peeled or unpeeled apples cause my tongue to rub the insides of my mouth to appease the itchiness. But I think I have a solution. I hope I have a solution. A few days ago, I bought 2 organic Red Delicious apples. I tried them. My mouth did itch, a little, but not the flaming itch that consumed my boca before. I wonder if I'm developing a sensitivity to the pesticide? We'll see. I'll continue my experiment, because apples have always been the one fruit that I've always liked...and I would like to continue to like to eat them. A few weeks ago I did read a list of the top 10 things that we should buy organic. Number 1 on the list? Apples.

Yeah! You don't like many fruits so you'd better be able to still eat apples!
Wow...that's so weird. I hope the organic apples work for you!
