After a couple of days, our kids warmed up to their cousins and Colden would actually be content without me for hours. Several times I was tempted to just check on him, but I didn't...because when I do, he just wants me to stay. It was so nice for him to be enthralled by his older cousins.

Monday, we spent nearly 12 hours of traveling...although it was supposed to be closer to 8. Airport delays...awesome.
Tuesday, we toured around Prescott a bit (this is one location we're seriously thinking of setting up practice in) and enjoyed the sites. It really is a beautiful place. That night we ate out at Outback, mate.
Wednesday, we took the kiddos to the local zoo.
Thursday, we went to Goldwater Lake. The geese got a little too close to Colden, which he didn't like. Then Dylan took an accidental head-dive into the lake, which he didn't like (that kid ALWAYS lands on his head!). (picture: Colden and Camille on a slide at Goldwater Lake.)

Friday is Chris' (my brother-in-law) day off. We were planning on doing stuff in the morning but Chris was busy taking care of some business (he owns his own Endodontic practice). That afternoon, we left all 6 kids with a sitter and went on a double date. So nice!!! We played a little putt-putt golf and laughed at the local pediatric dentistry office that we saw on the way...check out what this place looks like...kinda freaky. Then we went out to eat at the Olive Garden then stopped at the local mall to finish up the Easter shopping.

Saturday, the kids "found" their Easter baskets...neatly sitting by the couch. That afternoon, we did an Easter egg hunt at a local park. Dylan quickly figured out that the plastic eggs were better than the hard-boiled ones. Even when he came to a dyed egg, he wouldn't pick it up.

Sunday, we went to Sacrament meeting, then started the 6 hour trip home.
Interspersed throughout the activities, we talked a lot with Chris and Elice. They gave us a bunch of great advice about how they looked for a location to live, how to get good information about the location, how to run a practice, etc. We also ate a bunch of healthy food. My favorite line that Elice says is, "try this, it's healthy." She doesn't eat wheat or processed sugars. Her daughter, Camille, is now on a special diet with no gluten (wheat), casin (dairy), or sugar. So we had to be extra creative with what we ate all week. And for Camille's sake, we didn't put any candy in the Easter eggs or baskets. But the kids still got tons of cheap fillers that they are happy with!! So...just before I sat down to write this post, I ate a bunch of greasy, fatty potato chips...not the healthy kind!!
Ahhhh...junk food!
