2010 Photo Journal Part 1

I figured that while I'm waiting for the kids to actually fall asleep so Santa can visit our house, I might as well follow up on my promise...
January hike to ancient ruins less than 5 miles from our house. I just LOVE the weather here!

April camping trip in Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona. That was the first time we have driven through Sedona and, let me tell you, we're so glad that we live so close! It's beautiful there!
April hike up to Thumb Butte, local high point. Evelynn hiked most of the 1.75 mile up/down hill hike on her own! In her own style...in flip flops! What a trooper!
Dying and decorating eggs in preparation for Easter.
Even though the Prescott zoo doesn't compare to the St. Louis Zoo, we go there just as often! Occasionally, we take some of the cousins with us...Camille, Jared, and/or Jackson.
Quick weekend trip to San Diego in May. While Rob worked, the kids and I played. We played at the beach (of course) and at the zoo with my first ever best friend, Erynn. This is a picture of the boys and Erynn on the sky mover at the zoo. She was also amazing enough to watch the kids while we went on a date. You would never guess what we did...we went on a run together! We ran around Balboa Park, changed our clothes in the van, then headed to an amazing place for dessert, Extraordinary Desserts. Those desserts not only looked gourmet, they tasted gourmet!
Colden's pre-school graduation (his 3rd...and probably the only one who will "graduate" from pre-school since I haven't done that with any of my other kids...).
Drive through Monument Valley on our way home from Moab, UT. We met my parents and siblings in Moab on Memorial Day weekend for a camping trip, and of course, lots of hiking!
Our new little niece/cousin, Chloe Smith, was born in June!

Colden and Dylan observing and playing with the sea creatures in the tidal pools near Los Osos, CA. We spent the 4th of July weekend with two of Rob's siblings, Joe and Sarah, and their families at Joe's place in central coast California. (Can you tell yet how much we love living closer to family...and closer to the beach?)
Angie at the beginning of her and Rob's anniversary hike up Mt Timpanogus! We made it to the top! And I barely made it back down!
My mom and sister, Missy, graciously watched our kids while we hiked Timp. They took them to the LDS Church museum for the day...the kids just loved being with their cousins!
Rob and Shawn in Yellowstone. We had a big-o Davis family reunion (almost all of my extended family from my Grandpa and Grandma Davis) at Island Park, ID in July. We went to Yellowstone for 2 days and spent each evening with the big family...we ate big family dinners and did family activities together. It was really fun to bond with cousins.
My favorite picture of Dylan this year. His hands are full of marshmallows, and he's probably getting ready to attack someone. He just looks like he's in heaven.
